Brembo also goes up on Kawasaki Superbike

Continuiamo a

But the issue of most interest is the one related to VR46.
Valentino Rossi 's team has a mega partnership with the Tanal group, but also with Hyundai and Withu, the energy giant that already appears on Tavullia's bikes.
Also watering the whole thing, of course, is Monster, theenergy drink linked to the doctor.
Rossi 's team could be called VR46 Aramco and will have interests ranging therefore in beverage, energy, automotive but also in ambitious construction projects underway in Saudi and Asian countries. The capital is foreign but there is a lot of Italian in the design.
Those who would leave would be SKY, which without TV rights would have little interest in investing so heavily in a racing team. But that remains to be seen.
On the track, then, the Moto2 and MotoGP teams would remain.

All of this conditional because we are obviously in the valley of wild guesses.
Just some reasoning... and yet...

The king is naked. And he is minidressed!

The king is naked

Before anyone gets jealous, it is good to clarify that there is not really a naked person here--nor is there anyone who is mini-naked, on the contrary.
The title refers to a situation, to a figure, geometric, not at all regular. A figure, laid bare.
We speak of the virtually infallible sports marketing quadrilateral whose sides are Yamaha, Petronas, Razali and Rossi. A top factory, an impressive sponsor, a manager who doesn't miss a beat, and the biggest sports money machine in years. And here, it is well understood, there are no gifted minis. Not one bit. There is, however, some nudity.
Going in order, there were three sides initially, and they worked great.
Yamaha had met Petronas with Razlan Razali, sports team boss, deus ex machina of the operation.
How well had it worked, from one to ten? At least fourteen.
In the "annus schiaffonis" of the factory team, which at the time of taking advantage of Marquez 's absence had been killed by Mir on Suzuki, the slaying had also continued at home, in the most mocking way possible. With the men in blue no longer knowing who to take it from.
No Quartararo, a paying official (one who had the best bike on the team and not content had put a little extra on it by paying for it), but that other one, he had reversed the previous year by doing better than all the tuning forks, almost bringing home a coup that one does not know how desirable it would really have been, being the "wrong" winner.

The Petronas SRT team had done as it did in F1. Method, right choices, peace of mind, and victories. In the face of the "predestined."
Razali, who is one who knows how to take chances and create them, must have thought that if that was the student, let alone the master.
And he must have thought that, back home, the chance to celebrate the forty-sixth year of the company he works for, with the best reference to forty-six there is in the world, should not be an opportunity to pass up.
And he was right. Because Valentino Rossi may have been in decline for a few seasons, however, he is still the biggest draw motorcycling can have. Especially looking at a long wave that in far-flung popular Asia takes a while to kick in.
Razali made his movie, and he made it well.
A tot (guess how many) of YZFR1 replicas, at 46,000 euros, even a tot OHVale (planned) with the same numbers, and a whole series of initiatives to capitalize on the affair.
In a market that we can't even imagine how big it is, but that really in the East does numbers that make it seem nonexistent to us.
After all, even not winning, what could have gone wrong?
VR is no longer a leader in the standings, but he is still someone who entertains and, more importantly, he entertains himself. Which essential to communicate the right mood. In short, a great initiative that might not have paid off sportingly but from an image standpoint would have been great. Top. The best combo on the market.
Instead, it became clear pretty early on that nothing worked at all. In reality we are only at the beginning of the season and everything can be straightened out, however ... such inprinting is hard to put right.
It started so bad, that even what had worked the year before broke down. Quartararo to win and Morbidelli to flounder as he had never been seen to do. Rossi then, no opaque, but pitch black. A front row trailed by one of his own, which you really have to not want to see to not realize is sad stuff, and a triple set of horrendous qualifying and racing. Stuff you can't even joke about if things pick up afterwards.

These are the worst situations that can occur when you do marketing. That is, that your own testimonials, the ones who are supposed to convince you of the goodness of the product, are officially disgusted by it. Because we take into account that Rossi, not being there to win, should have been the one to put on a good face. Instead, the good face did not show.
And so the mountain (of money) gave birth to a mouse, but not even. And the imperial matchup actually laid bare the fact that theory is one thing, but reality, is another.

But even should it last, it seems so much like one of those relationships in which, when certain things happen or are said, nothing ever goes back to the way it was.
Then the effects on the professional careers of the various protagonists, matter the right amount. Here we are not talking about those, but about the initiative, the combo that was supposed to be perfect and instead is not working at all.
We are at a point that looks so much like the joke where there is a boxer who comes back to the corner staggering and asks his trainer how he is doing. And the one in response, "If you kill him, you make it even."

Jorge Lorenzo: unfit for the system!

Jorge Lorenzo

Niente. Ringraziare di non essere un suo bersaglio. E godersi tutto quanto.

Why should Dovizioso sign with Aprilia at all costs?

Now that the Dovi is one step away from signing with Noale (it is no secret that they are circling around it and it seems almost done) it is the case to retrieve a video from a few weeks ago.
Oh yes because if the negotiation has continued, the reasons and explanations are still the same.
Why should Dovi sign with Noale and should he do it at all costs?
For the reasons listed in the video...

The futility of agitating for tests!

What is the reason we get excited about pre-season testing, MotoGP or Superbike that is?
No well-founded reason, other than that craving for news and clicks post-fasting, in which one is mad to make situations out of news, if not, unfortunately, inventing them in the first place... and news.
Eventually the tests come and you have to get excited. It serves the wallet. And it obviously finds fertile ground in the phytos.
But believe me, though, with all the variables there is little to get excited about.
But let's see them, the variables.

Temperature
It is difficult to test at a track with the same temperature in which you will run when the time set by the calendar comes.
It does not change much, you will say. Wrong.
At tracks like Jerez, coincidentally a habitual testing destination, a few hours make a difference. In the sameend pilots with pole have then bitten the dust. And we're talking hours. Imagine when we're talking months. Jerez is a striking example, but things change little in the rest of the cases as well.

Presence
If someone is missing in a test session, how do you concretely measure the value of who is there?
But then imagine you were an official house (it's different for individuals). Which tests would you skip? The ones you need or the ones where you go fast?
So it is easy to assume that those who are not there are because MEDIALLY, net of economic hardship, they do not need them. And so those who are there have little to ruffle feathers.

Configurations and stuff to test
Everyone in the test has his own schedule. That means he is building. If someone is building, they are obviously not doing speed tests or time research. So time doesn't count.
At least not to those who are watching and don't know what's going on.

Time that isn't there
How many times have you read about phantasmagoric times, just in case, without stopwatches or transponders? There are a couple of sites that specialize in this kind of news.
A team that has the time, do you really think they are hiding it?
Do you really think the level of secrecy of information is military?
Those who run without transponders and without chrono are because they are not valuing it. No one in their right mind would give up taking and storing references when they are good.

Miscellaneous
Are the items listed above enough for you?
There are others. Pilots not yet in place, material not yet fully arrived, ergonomics, configurations still being studied, and a whole host of elements that makes it possible to classify test results mostly as useless.
But how useless? Are the useless tests being done?

The truth is that to know if someone has found something, you need to be informed about what they were looking for.
And so the tests are useful, but only to those who do them (pilots, insiders, etc.) They are not useful to those who stand there watching them trying to figure something out.

In fact, if we must say so, they serve the people who tell them, to make fans dream, sponsors lick their whiskers, and a whole series of fuffy activities that in reality have little content for the most part. But they do serve for clicks.

Not to mention a well-known German house that every year in the pre-season stage seems to be able to impress but then is more and more miserably far from the results that count.
There the problem is different. Editorial creativity is about earning a few banners or some form of goodwill.
In short, those who do the tests and those who tell the public what they want to hear gain with the tests. Those who read, on the other hand, continue to stay, confused and happy.

Masked or mock-up helmets. Matter of money!

I marchi li conosciamo.

Yamaha risks losing Morbidelli. Zarco's story, it repeats itself!

It is a movie we have already seen whose trailer we have "tasted."
Yamaha, with more riders than good bikes, is in danger of losing its best talent to follow the desire for brands and immediate returns.
In short, marketing and politics instead of human resources. A story already seen in any traditional company.
Yet, we said, this is nothing new. Only four years have passed since the last similar situation.
In 2017 it was Zarco, the first to win the Moto2 world championship twice... consecutively, to boot. Never happened.
He was parked, momentarily, they said, on the Tech3 team waiting to send him to the blue bikes. Never happened.

Posto assicurato in Yamaha ufficiale?

E niente punti.

What does Franco do? He complains but then apologizes. He protests but then says it doesn't matter.
The truth is that he has inside his house, responsible for his professional stop, his boss at the Academy, the one who signs his checks, manages his merchandising, and has his career in his pocket. What does he tell them?
What about the media? When will a TV in partnership with VR46 ever highlight the problem from this point of view? Never.

Morbidelli's future depends on whether or not Yamaha will repeat past mistakes. With the difference being that, unlike the Zarco case, a title was touched here and three years have already been thrown away.

Franco can really go wherever he wants. Aprilia, Suzuki, KTM... or Yamaha, if Rossi decides to step aside to finally favor his protégé.
Oh yeah, protégé. A truly surreal concept, given that at the moment Franco's career block depends on the very people who say they want to launch him.
