Lo avevamo anticipato il 17 agosto spiegando chi è esattamente Pertamina e chiarendo che sarebbe stata un’operazione pazzesca.

Oggi in pista a Mandalika, forse incentivati dalla pole di Luca Marini e dalla bellissima prestazione di marco Bezzecchi (e ricordiamo che i piloti sono entrambi reduci da un infortunio), VR46 ha scelto di lanciare una bomba forse destinata ad essere fatta deflagrare a fine anno.

3 anni di contratto con una presenza di Pertamina a 360° su tutte le attività di marketing, per una sponsorizzazione svelata presumibilmente in base ad una decisione last minute, forse per l’eccezionale risultato legato alla Pole position di Marini e l’eccellente risultato di Bezzecchi (ricordiamo che entrambi i piloti sono reduci da un’infortunio).
18 milioni in 3 anni per una sponsorizzazione di prodotto, per spingere un olio specifico, molto in uso nell’ambito di mercato di Pertamina.

We anticipated it on August 17th by explaining who exactly Pertamina is and making it clear that it would be a crazy operation.

3 year contract with a 360° presence of Pertamina on all marketing activities, for a sponsorship revealed presumably on the basis of a last minute decision, perhaps due to the exceptional result linked to Marini's position and the excellent result of Bezzecchi (remember that both riders are returning from an injury).
18 million in 3 years for a product sponsorship, to push a specific oil, widely used in the Pertamina market.

VR46 MotoGP si appresta a svelare il suo nuovo main sponsor.
Come già anticipato da Misterhelmet il 24 luglio e ripreso da altre testate che si sono guardate bene dal citare la fonte, la struttura di Valentino Rossi, diretta da Uccio Salucci si accinge a salutare Mooney, per lo meno  come title sponsor.

The financial company will still remain on the fairings of the Ducati in Tavullia but with less "presence."

Same for eBay, which some have given as the main 2024 sponsor. The online auction house, however, which has also seen Vale and his people engaged in TV ads and is already present on the tail of the yellow ducati , is not involved in a Global capacity but through the Italian branch and therefore will remain with a reduced weight.

Growing instead will be HERO, a paint sprayer company. The company, which was founded in Canada in 1968 and joined NiT Italia in 2007, will increase its visibility on the fairings of the two Ducati, presumably still entrusted to Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini, barring last-minute changes. Indeed, it is conceivable that VR46 , which has Bezzecchi as its point man, will try to get an official bike for him in house, rather than lose the rider to Pramac.

The real news, however, will be the main sponsor. Despite some rumors that "predicted another financial company or eBay itself, things will be different.
The sponsor will be Pertamina, Indonesia's state-owned oil company, established in 1957 by the nationalization of Shell facilities, which over time has assumed its current name after a series of name changes and mergers with other local entities.

Secondo i dati del 2020-21, ha circa 13.500 dipendenti, un fatturato di 57 miliardi di dollari, un reddito operativo di 4 miliardi di dollari, un utile netto di un miliardo e asset per 71 miliardi.
Pertamina è l’unica azienda Indonesiana ad essere mai entrata nel Fortune 500. Si tratta di una big, non grande come Aramco ma comunque grandissima per fatturato e importanza.

Pertamina produce carburanti e prodotti chimici ma anche lubrificanti.
Per questo dalle moto di Valentino, dopo anni di collaborazione, scomparirà Bardahl.

Non è dato sapere se Pertamina continuerà comunque a sponsorizzare il team Pertamina Mandalika SAG che attualmente schiera in Moto2 i piloti Taiga Hada e Bo Bendsnyder però questo è un tema di secondo piano.

After the colossal flop of the Tanal Aramco hoax, (full story here) which some sites are still calling a "blown deal" when in fact nothing ever existed and it was always all denied by the Saudi multinational, a REAL tanker finally arrives on VR's bikes.
All thanks to the good work for what can be called the revelation team of 2023.
Who knows if with this basis it will still be just Pramac to have a factory bike in addition to the in-house team because, in short, with Pertamina, we are looking at a kind of Petronas!
With these brands in play really Ducati could consider not only providing VR46 with a factory bike but also possibly having a NON factory team win, should the conditions be realized!
This would take Ducati to absolute Olympus and make it even more, if ever possible, the bike to have to race in MotoGP!
