Niccolò Bulega, da rookie stupisce con pole, vittoria in Gara1 e giro veloce ma un alieno su un’astronave aliena (che però vola solo con lui), entra nella storia e vince il suo secondo titolo mondiale, portando alla vittoria BMW dopo molti anni e molti milioni di euro spesi per ottenere qualcosa che fino ad oggi era sempre sfuggita!
Bulega, Razgatlioglu, Locatelli, Alex Lowes, Lecuona, Van Der Mark, Vierge, Bassani, Aegerter, Gerloff è la top ten di una gara fra le più noiose di tutti i tempi in Superbike che però ha almeno due meriti: consegnarsi (insieme ad un best lap) ad un Rookie, e consegnare alla storia il primo titolo mondiale piloti per BMW, ottenuto dopo anni, milioni bruciati, piloti cambiati e delusioni di ogni tipo da non poterle nemmeno contare.
Razgatlioglu contro la quasi totalità dei pronostici che lo vedevano sì poter vincere qualche gara ma di sicuro non il campionato, ha invece dato a BMW quello che voleva: la vittoria che vale la consacrazione fra le migliori moto di serie e il lasciapassare per la MotoGP alla quale adesso si può accedere senza recriminazioni.
Razgatlioglu, on an objectively superior bike because of concessions and thanks in part to the ad personam penalty for a struggling Bautista anyway, wins something he probably would have won anyway, beating, not at the last race but at the lastend anyway, a rookie of luxury and quality while his designated opponent, in fact, steps aside.
This is the perfect situation in which no one steals anything and no one even demerits, because things go exactly as a just world would like them to go.
And even the losers still lose with honor and dignity.
But once again the attack that spoils the naturalness of the championship, however is there because it would have been enough to leave everything as it was anyway to have the same things without bothering anyone.
And the race? Terrible, with the outs of Petrucci and Bautista (who later re-enters) and only two making the race, while everyone accumulates time trial gaps.
But what matters is the world championship, which Toprak Razgatlioglu hands over to the Germans as the most brazen and overweening of warriors.
However they win, however they win, they are never ashamed of it because they are always right while the losers had better start explaining, maybe even for next year!
