Even in Australia there are alien sightings. Marquez makes an exaggerated comeback and literally "sticks" Bagnaia and Martin, winning the race and becoming the arbiter of a championship that is increasingly complicated for the defending champion.

Questi i 10 al traguardo per una gara spaventosamente bella ma che si regge, per la maggior parte, su quello che, nel bene e nel male, fa Marc Marquez.
Lo spagnolo parte malissimo scivolando (sembra incredibile) su un tear off che butta via lui e fa 7 sorpassi nelle prime 6 curve. Da tredicesimo è sesto e inizia da lì la sua opera di demolizione di ogni certezza altrui, che lo porta prima sul podio virtuale e poi alla vittoria, liberandosi di Binder, Morbidelli e tutti quelli che incontra, inclusi Bagnaia e Martin. Il campione in carica preoccupa per la sua passività (becca 10 secondi anche se SKY ne conta di meno) mentre Martin gli resiste un po’ di più anche se capisce, forse, che 20 punti sul diretto avversario sono più importanti di un ego pericoloso e di un istinto animale che può pagare ma anche presentare conti salati. L’anno scorso non era così e forse questa per lui è la variabile vincente.
Alla fine Marquez vince lo scontro e anche la battaglia ma la guerra per il campionato volge sempre più a favore di Martin.
There is little for Ducati to decide whether to have children and stepchildren. It couldn't even if it wanted to. If Bagnaia is so surrendered and committed to losing something he physiologically should win, just a sniper lurking on the hill could save him. Martin finally realized that if he doesn't lose control, he can even make it, even if he has to force himself to give up sometimes.
The others are not there, forgive me. They can be happy with some placings (Morbidelli, Bastianini and Di Giannantonio), they can evaluate their personal growth, but the game is something else and they certainly don't play it.
For sure Morbidelli and Di Giannantonio are growing, for sure Bastianini is not consistent. They are secondary story lines, though. The lens is on three others.
