Marc Marquez, Vinales, Bagnaia, Morbidelli, Zarco, Aldeguer, Alex Marquez, Quartararo, Acosta and Bezzecchi.
These are the 10 with the yellow penalty to Vinales (tire pressure) for a beautiful race with dozens of overtaking, duels and twists. The Spaniard will then be penalized 16 seconds and will find himself behind Bagnaia Morbidelli!
Marquez loses the lead at the third corner and waits to let loose first Morbidelli, then Bagnaia and then Vinales who stays in front until the last laps.
From there the Spaniard passes and begins to string together fast laps, some of them decidedly pointless, as is his style.
Coriaceo Vinales on KTM (he has also won here in the past), and also strong Morbidelli. The first half of the race he commands before switching off and yielding to Bagnaia, not without a duel.
Bagnaia's race? Solid, error-free and even aggressive at times. Making life difficult for him are Marquez, first, and Morbidelli, then. But the Piedmontese rider pulls through and despite wrapping up 4.5 seconds behind the winner, he is deservedly on the podium and still attached to the world championship train.
Bad weekend for Alex Marquez. First he hits his brother by breaking two fins (93 will still take the blame), then he gets a long lap penalty for irresponsible riding on Di Giannantonio, who gets a penalty for irresponsible riding on Mir He finishes seventh in an otherwise bungled podium race.
Even worse goes to Jorge Martin. He crashes and is hit by Di Giannantonio (16th at the end) and gets a ride to the hospital. For him bruises and a pneumothorax.
The list of good ones includes Johann Zarco, fifth and best Honda at the finish and Fermin Aldeguer, sixth after a really solid race.
Disappointing Acosta but never as much as Bastianini and Binder. Disappointing were the Yamaha Pramac of Miller, Rins and Fernandez. Only Quartararo is saved at Iwata .
Terrible once again the Honda and inconsistent Aprilia. At home VR, however, the glass is half full. Okay Morbidelli, bad Di Giannantonio.
The rest, not there. The championship rests on two riders but every time the twist is lurking. Another thing: there are no tracks favorable to one rider or the other.
