It sounds like an insult but it is a defense of the pilots who are now mere puppets. Look at all the situations that ultimately reduce them to mere puppets. Sportingly, politically, contractually, and from the point of view of protecting them in terms of their health but also their image. Motorsport's greatest asset reduced to a handful of puppets. They parade them around like trophies and make them underpaid actors in social photostories with an increasingly distant sporting flavor. They are everything and yet, in fact, they no longer count for anything.
