Superbike, Estoril: all for Rea. Ducati self-defeating, Yamaha asleep!

Rea Estoril Win

The second day of the Estoril race sees staged replica
of the Ducati humiliation that occurred in MotoGp, with the aggravating factor that it starts earlier, it's double and it affects a bit of everyone other than Rea.

Indeed, at a track favorable to the Reds, the gifts to the opponents began as early as the superpole race, won by Rea, ahead of Razgatlioglu, Redding, Gerloff, Rinaldi, Lowes, Sykes, Laverty and Davies. And when you're working hard to get your opponent on the podium step every time, it's hard to play something big then.

Rea, Davies, Razgatlioglu, Lowes, Locatelli, Van Der Mark, Bautista, Sykes, Laverty, and Rabat round out the ten.

The chronicle of the race is also useless here, because what speaks for itself is the top ten at the finish.
The Ducati begin to trash another world championship and bring home a positive result only with Davies, who, however, one must be honest, has the only virtue in always believing in it. It is not enough to make up for the leftovers of those who fall in front of him or the predestined who do not materialize.
Yamaha themselves are black belts of waste. Razgatlioglu never brings home what he should while Gerloff always appears too aggressive.
But for that matter, there is no laughing matter at BMW either, where Van Der Mark is not playing anything serious and where Sykes has to scramble for the very private Laverty.
And Honda? As in MotoGP it lives a drama, as Bautista struggles against the windmills of bad qualifying and gearbox problems, and 75% of the time he lays down to make those comebacks that, as a professional, he demands of himself. Haslam is there punching the clock. Have you seen him in the race, you?

It really is a bad Superbike, which only intellectual dishonesty or partisan interests can get away with calling spectacular.
The screw-ups are the stuff of Paperissima and clip shows, not something to enjoy.
Professionals, on the track and at the wall, there are few, and only one is a full package.

Report cards

Rea
Already he is strong, consistent, and always a step above.
Give him gifts, too, when he's not at the top, and it goes the way of the last six years.
Rated 10

Davies
He always believes, and always tries.
Who knows if he still believes he has a package that is in any way comparable to the official one, and that he can really play something apart from doing better than Redding, the only striking achievement apparently within his reach.
Rated 8.5

Razgatlioglu
Wasteful Turk. Spectacular, impetuous, aggressive, yet so frothy in the reckoning. He places, he contends, but today he should have won. Instead he throws it all away with a jump start.
Rated 7.5

Lowes
Every time his job is to make everyone understand that the Kawasaki doesn't ride itself and is worth as much as he is, not as much as his partner is worth.
Rated 6.5

Locatelli
I was ready to criticize that, okay, get the bike to the top ten finish line, but you need a progression.
Here I am being served. To Locatelli only applause.
Rated 8.5

Van Der Mark
The world proclamations attributed to BMW at the beginning of the season usually make people laugh after four to five races. This year they started making people laugh as early as Aragon.
Rated 6

Bautista
This thing of starting almost last and finishing well is exciting but it risks wearing the rider down.
When you see what he tries to squeeze out of the turnip that is Honda, you realize how much he could have squeezed out of a Ducati had he been given another chance. Much to the chagrin of the rosy desmo and the loudmouth Redding, who eleven wins in a row will never see it.
Rated 7.5

Sykes
He should be doing better than his teammate, but instead the BMW paucity is engulfing him as well.
Rating 5.5

Laverty
With the most private BMW of the lot, the Irishman is waking up and starting to show some talent.
Rated 6.5

Rabat
Pretty sad to see him like this. But it's not like the Ducati trend is that much better. Let's wait.

Estoril, gara1 SBK: vince Redding davanti a Razgatlioglu e Rea!

Scott Redding Estoril

Estoril goes without fanfare after qualifying divided in half between Rea and Redding, who share the sessions and the spotlight.
The race, on the other hand, is a bit different, as the Ducati man, while never saying goodbye to the company for good, is still uncatchable.
It's dull, race1, because there are only minor skirmishes behind, while up front only Rea, who makes a mistake early in the race and pays dearly for it, works to catch Redding and Razgatlioglu, but only manages to bother the Turk.
After the trio, only Gerloff who humiliates Rinaldi while still pushing back in the standings, notable is only the comeback of Bautista, who is still not competitive but can be seen to be putting in his best. And the others? Badly the BMW, bad the other greens, bad a little bit everyone, with really embarrassing detachments.
In short, the SBK world championship is divided into three. Three-four protagonists, four-five nice guys, and a dozen staggering zombies to follow.

Minicommentary of the race.
Rea starts badly and handles the start of the race even worse, making mistakes and giving in to Razgatlioglu and Rinaldi.
Redding and the Turk, they go on the run, but it is an escape on sight because, in fact, they will remain within reach of the defending champion.

In one lap Rea makes up for it on Rinaldi and goes for the two in front.
The race is boring and played out on the elastic of tenths between the top three while behind them Rinaldi, Lowes, Gerloff and Laverty but well spaced out... just as Sykes collapses and when shortly afterwards we also break Laverty's dreams in the gravel.
With ten to go Rea is getting closer to the leading duo, actually closer to Razgatlioglu than the latter is to Redding.
The race ends in a sprint for second place at least while Redding has more to be comfortable. Something that looks a lot like a close second.
Redding,Razgagtliolu, Rea, Gerloff, Rinaldi, Davies, VDMark, Bautista, Rabat, Locatelli, these are the 10.

Redding
He doesn't do anything wrong today. He doesn't win by force, but comnunque he wins. He needs these serene confirmations.
Rated 10

Razgagtliolu
He is always consistent but always lacks something.
He is consistent, though, and the Yamaha haven't played something in a long time since Iwata .
Rated 9.5

Rea
It sounds like a defeat-and it is. But Rea at Estoril had never been on the podium. Today, on the other hand, he's even playing for something more at times. He is a Rea who can be content.
Rated 8.5

Gerloff
He plays strong when he can but unfortunately pays dearly for his departure.
The way he gets rid of Rinaldi is a real bully. Pure talent.
Rated 8.5

Rinaldi
Finally the awakening. He must not forget, though, that he rides an official Ducati . To do what he did at Go Eleven, he could have stayed there.
Rated 7

Davies
Beginning to realize that he is not riding an official bike and that good performances are the exception and not the rule.
Rated 6.5

VDMark
It's the best BMW but only after getting slapped by Laverty for 2/3 of the race. Not all that much to celebrate.
Rated 6

Bautista
The comeback is the only glimmer of light in an overall problematic situation. Bautista gives what he can; after all, Haslam was 15 seconds later.
Rated 6.5

Rabat
Almost good, finally Rabat. Let's hope it's the beginning of a redemption. He deserves it.
Rated 6

Locatelli
Subscriber to the top ten, do we realize?
He's a rookie and he's behind a lot of people more emblazoned than him.

Supebike, Aragon race1: Stellar Rea against cosmic nothingness!

rea 100

Other than the laps removed by regulation. The Kawasaki should be taken out of gear.
With the aggravation that it's not even Rea alone anymore who's doing the heavy lifting but also Lowes, who when he's not messing around is strong for real. Although we all know that he is not consistent.

Behind them, cosmic nothingness with flashes of blue. That's what we're likely to see all season if the Ducati, inadequate today even with Davies, don't give themselves an absolute wake-up call. So many bikes on the track, and some even with the illusion of being official, are not needed.
It is not the greens that need to be downsized but it is the pack that needs to be shaken up.
Of the bad things in race1 we see a lot more.
There are the BMW that are only holding on (gasping) with Sykes, because the others are just starring in a horror movie. As soon as the Briton loses his patience, we will see some good things.
Japanese horror, on the other hand, for Honda. Qualifying is no use if you are inconsistent and inconclusive in the race.

Much applause at the triple-digit victory for the nord Irishman, who double Bayliss and Fogarty who, however, were battling on other scenarios, with other opponents and other packages.

Rea is yes a space pilot, but he is confronted with cosmic nothingness. Between satellites with very slow orbits and debris like the kind we now have littering space around the earth with, winning so much is a decidedly more possible feat.
Give them opponents, not accomplices to quota 100 from a pension perspective.
And thank you for castrating Superbike with the shears of regulatory and format choices that are as stupid as they come.

Microchronicle of the race
Those who had a good time mean that they help themselves to products, and it is time for them to explain which ones.
The race does not exist. Kawasakis fly and only Razgaglioglu offers the feeling that there is some war.
Never protagonists are the Ducati and everyone else, but at least the reds exist. The rest are unaccounted for.
You want the record, then: Rea leaves and on the last lap Lowes and Razgatlioglu battle a little bit. That's really all there is to it.
Rea makes 100 ahead of Lowes, Razgatlioglu, Redding, Davies, Sykes, Rinaldi, Haslam, Gerloff, Locatelli to close out the 10

Pages

Rea
Ungovernable. Strong with the weak and ends up here with victory n100.
Rated 10

Lowes
Concrete one-off. With the best bike. Other story over, pe today.
Rated 9

Razgatlioglu
The Turk is there and he is strong. Yamaha is also the n2 power.
Rated 8.5

Redding
The bombshell of the lineup with what should be the title contender. And he doesn't appear to be.
Rated 7

Davies
All those predicted soffisfactions for him do not come even on the track where he should be strongest of all.
Hard to think, while hoping for it, that the rest of the season will be one of leading ones. His is a negatively unattractive result.
Rated 6

Sykes
One man on an inadequate bike run by a team that seems even more inadequate. Can only hope in sprint races.
Rated 6.5.

Rinaldi
He replaced Davies. Make that we are still on our first outing and cannot be judged negatively.
Rated 6

Haslam
I'm in the three, he had said. It didn't go. But at least he finished on his feet.
Rated 6

Locatelli
Here's the good thing. Top ten debut on a bike that is not the very latest. A note of blue dressed in blue.
