Petrux: no Assen but returns for Misano. Injury, timing and a surprise replacement!

CARMELO EZPELETA: “COMANDO ANCORA IO!” INTERVISTA ESPLOSIVA!

CARMELO EZPELETA: “I’M STILL IN COMMAND!” EXPLOSIVE INTERVIEW!

It’s my second interview with Carmelo Ezpeleta, and interviewing him is like fighting!
If you really want to be a journalist and go beyond “friendly” questions, you need to know that he gives you all the blows back, he corrects you, he doesn’t let you pass a single one and he gets pissed off too.
Ezpeleta is a great fighter, who always comes out of the corner and always knows what he has to do and what he has to say. I may not agree with everything but he has my respect. Who knows if I have his.

Liberty Media, Superbike, regulations, Moto2, Moto3, academies, the greater offer of TKOs compared to Liberty, future programs, past mistakes, Covid, the bikes on the grid for KTM and Ducati and the missing Yamaha UEs in addition to the benefits for teams, cost reduction and pilot-box radio communications!
Including a mini pissed off from Carmelo who catches me again, twice.

Quartararo rimane in Yamaha.

Iannone, rumors: close to MotoGP? Denis Sacchetti speaks!

It would be nice if they let me drive it! Joking aside, it's definitely an accolade to be proud of because it would mean we've taken a big gamble and met the challenge, but I always like to say these things at the end of the season,

Right now it's still early, we've only had 2 races and we need to keep our heads down."

In the end, beyond what a team manager is "allowed to say," it seems clear not only that the rumors are not pure fantasy, but also that there is availability from the only ones who could put a stop to this absolutely interesting event for the whole scenario. Something that goes far beyond the sporting aspect.

Iannone, rumors: close to MotoGP!

There is a lot of talk about a possible move from Ducati to Yamaha for the VR46 Pertamina team. It shouldn’t happen and there are good reasons. Pertamina is ready to renew for another two years by putting a monstrous sum on the table.
14 million to also sponsor the Academy but there are conditions. Here are all the details of the renewal and all the reasons for the NO to Yamaha together with other incredible news that you will find in the video.

VIDEO WITH ENG SUBT

Many of you know that one of the wide-ranging market topics in MotoGP is a possible move of the VR46 team, Pertamina to Yamaha.
We’ve been talking about it for a long time, but it never happens.
Now it seems that DORNA’s pressure for Yamaha to also have a team is increasing.
From what I think, VR46 will not go to Yamaha.
Then I could be wrong but I’m about to explain to you why Valentino’s team, despite being Valentino himself a Yamaha ambassador, will remain with Ducati.

Whether it happens or not, my impressions aside, I’m about to give you some great news.
Very nice news that rewards the great sporting and marketing work of the VR46 team which I will never tire of complimenting.

You have understood that I think that despite what has been said for a long time, that Valentino’s MotoGP team will switch to Yamaha, it won’t happen for me.
Many things in the paddock are said because they seem the most normal, the most logical, but other logics according to which these things don’t happen escape us. Tanal also seemed like a logical fit because it was charming. But it wasn’t true.

I won’t explain here, given that Yamaha won’t have the VR46 team, who they will give the other two bikes to. This is a discussion I will face later.
I explain why VR46, which is working very well, will remain with ducati.
Even if Ducati has made it clear that it will be difficult to maintain 8 bikes.

I’ll tell you simply: PERTAMINA DOES NOT AGREE.
Pertamina, which is a state oil company, Pertamina which arrived in Italy with over 100 people at the team presentation, Pertamina which chased 18 million for 3 years, wants to stay in front and therefore the Yamahas are not good.
Maybe in a few years it will happen, when the regulations change, but not for now.
In my opinion. Maybe it’s one of those pieces that will age badly, but I’ll also tell you what Pertamina is doing towards VR46, to make it concretely clear what it likes and what it doesn’t.

There are rumors, which should be confirmed in a few days, that speak of an extension of the contract with VR46 Motogp for another 2 years.
And it’s big stuff. but it’s not over. The extension provides not 6 million per year, as is currently the case, but 7.
So Pertamina adds another 14 million to the current 18 million and also wants to sponsor the Academy.

And it reaches 32.

Do you know any other sponsors of this level, including official teams?
Does it seem to you that this extension is not a message at this moment?
Do you think that those who pay 32 million want to finish last and don't want to say anything about which motorcycles are used?

It is a confirmation of sponsorship, it is a confirmation of trust and it is a confirmation of the current situation.
Indeed, it is an incentive to do better. Do you say that Diggia and Bezzecchi on Yamaha could do better?
Given that it is correct that Diggia has already renewed as I said in another video, are you saying that in his contract there is no mention of the motorbike he will ride?
Let’s say Bez leaves, for some reason, do you think that any rider could do better on Yamaha than the current Bezzecchi is doing on Ducati?

I could just give you the news of the two-year extension of Pertamina to 14 million and I would be fine but I'll try to reason with you.

And what about valentino, who is a Yamaha ambassador? Has something stopped him so far from racing with Ducati, from sending his brother to Honda, from taking a non-VR46 rider like Diggia AND NOT MORBIDELLI who has parked with others, or from trying to take Aldeguer? From racing in a car with BMW?
No. And I’ll tell you why. For Vale, Uccio and all the management, the only interest is in being as strong as possible and this can only be achieved with Ducati. With all the money they have to spend, they will be first in line to get the best bikes from Ducati, even perhaps the official ones, if any official interlocutor drops out. VR46 not only might not go to Yamaha but it could also be the new Pramac. And I already said this in another article a long time ago.

Under what conditions could VR46 go to Yamaha, instead? They should be forced by Dorna, but someone should not only give him the bikes for free but make Pertamina understand some Reasons. 14 million reasons.

Then, of course, I could also be wrong.

PERTAMINA RENEWS with VR46. He wants the Academy but DOES NOT WANT YAMAHA!

There is a lot of talk about a possible switch from Ducati to Yamaha for the VR46 Pertamina team. It should not happen and there are good reasons. Pertamina is ready to renew for two more years by putting a monstrous sum on the table.

For what conditions could it go instead? It would have to be forced by Dorna, but someone would have to not only give him the bikes for free but make CERTAIN reasons clear to Pertamina. 14 million reasons.

Then, clearly, I may be wrong.

MotoGP sold to Liberty Media(?) The Americans are coming!

The news is that of the sale of MotoGP to Liberty Media, owner of F1, after a quick process of Americanisation. But this would only be the first of a long series of news and situations that also concern Superbike. Here in detail what they could be, who could command in MotoGP and what would happen on a financial, political and organizational level. In short, here’s how the sport we love could change by becoming Americanized!

    Misterhelmet Shop

There are all the background, financial data and reasons why MotoGP must be sold.
I mean, it was in the air and it was only a matter of time. Rumors say that the announcement will be made in America, in Austin. But why in America?
Because Liberty Media should be the one to buy MotoGP and these are Americans.
And be careful because it’s still a doubt. Will MotoGP be bought or dorna? Presumably only the MotoGP share belonging to Bridgepoint.
It’s not the same because Dorna controls, let’s say, MotoGP but also CEV and Superbike. And then he has his hands in other situations:
So it’s not the same.
We will need to understand what Bridgepoint, which as a fund is obliged to sell every now and then because it has to make money, will sell.

Obviously we are starting to understand a lot of things. The arrival of Rossomondo, of some American sponsors as sponsors of the championship or of some teams, and the arrival of an American team, not just any team but a very mediate team like Trackhouse involved in Nascar, in addition to the latest television agreements that speak by TNTsport.

We also talked about these on and also the questions we talked about on Misterehelmet.

So Americanization was in the air.
And probably Americanization, announced in America, will be.
Although honestly, I have some doubts that it will be done at the end of the season. It seems to me that a great acceleration has been given.

But who will lead in MotoGP?
It would be really nice if there was a person trusted by those in charge at Liberty and at the same time someone who knows about MotoGP and has good relations with the Americans.
For example? For example, we talked about it here. Brivio is a friend of Domenicali. Not Claudio, the one from Ducati, Stefano, the one from F1.

And he is also a friend of the Americans. Do you really think that his destiny is to end his career at the Trackhouse team?
Let’s say he’s back, gives this team a bit of a fix, talks a bit with the Americans and maybe he can be taken into consideration to ride the NEW MOTOGP. He has all the characteristics to ferry this MotoGP from one fund to another. And he is also a friend of Stefano Domenicali, who is not the head of Liberty but is the head of F1 which is the asset that is worth the most in Liberty.

But Liberty Media also belongs to a fund.
Liberty Media has also controlled F1 for many years now and like all funds it must achieve.
It is not excluded that Liberty Media buys MotoGP, sells F1 and distributes a good bit of surplus in the fund.
I’m making it rough eh, it’s not like buying a Fiat Panda and selling yourself a Porsche to keep the money.
But some maneuvers are plausible.

Yes but you will say. And to us? Does it change anything for us?
A little more of something.
We will have an Americanization of the sport we love.
More races, more teams, fewer categories, some GPs in the USA
And above all a more highlights show.
Rossomondo boasted that shorter races appeal to younger people and don’t risk conflicting with waning attention. He actually talked about it. A problem that is deeply felt by them and which we are starting to talk about now.
Everything is much closer to the Sprint Race and decisive sessions, than to the old MotoGP made up of long sessions in search of the setup.
We talked about it when we tried to explain how MotoGP was changing and what certain changes meant.
So much for the show.

And politically? Just as the FIA, which has less and less power over F1, risks getting a kick in the ass, the mega bandwagon that is the International Motorcycling Federation risks getting more than one kick in the ass. They act as suitors and make a living with the Dorna fee of around 10 million for use of the brand. In my opinion, a bad time is about to begin for them.

In short, good things can also happen.
I hope I have given you a photograph that is a little less blurry than what you can find elsewhere.
