Superbike, Aragon1, gara a tre: Rea e Bautista, annullano Razgatlioglu!

In pista corrono in venticinque.

Superbike, Portimao: Razgatlioglu, Redding, Baz. Rea out, mani turche sul Mondiale!

Razgatlioglu Portimao

Razgatlioglu chiude l’ultima curva e va a vincere davanti a Redding, Baz, Rinaldi, Haslam, Gerloff, Bassani, Mercado, Laverty e Ponsson.

Jerez: all’insegna del vecchio format, Razgatlioglu, Rea e Bautista!

Razgatlioglu Jerez

Nullo e lontano.

Lontano e irraggiungibile, invece, è ormai Razgatlioglu.
Razgatlioglu, Redding, Bautista, Locatelli, Rea, Bassani, Rinaldi, Van Der Mark, Baz e Gerloff a chiudere i 10.

Terzo Rinaldi e Toprak out!

cat ded 3

Vince Redding davanti a Bassani, Rinaldi, Rea, van der Mark, Lowes, Haslam, Sykes, Bautista, Davies a chiudere i 10.

Bautista and Ducati: story of a story with ahappy ending!

Bautista

- Hi, it's me, I wanted to say I miss you, let's get back together, I've changed.

- So do I. He leaves, comes back to me.

A love story.

In fact, those who have long described interlocutory stages, steps, negotiations, market movements, competition, even managing to be officially denied, have spoken for nothing, since there have been none.

Because at a certain moment, two entities that had never quarreled, Ducati and Bautista, magically came back together as if two days had passed and not two years in which they both suffered from each other's absence.

Bautista and Ducati, although it seemed different at the time, never argued. There was just coldness.
Lacking the world championship, lacking dialogue because of others and maybe even money, they simply did not try very hard to come to an agreement.

HIM: On the side of Bautista, the bungler.
Bautista went for the money, it is true, but he was also confused by the explicit and winking invitation from Marc Marquez, who had illustrated the HRC SBK project in Spain as a winner.
It probably is, as it is clear that Honda has committed significant resources, but it is really the bike that is wrong. The CBR is a street bike lent to racing, made by Honda to fit everyone. A bike to sell and not a war machine that works in the hands of a few.

HER: Ducati, sophisticated and fickle.
We don't know if it is the best bike of the lot. It is certainly the most prototypical of the production bikes. Like all precision instruments, it gives what it gets and needs a MotoGP rider to ride it in Superbike.
Ducati. Capricious and to be deciphered, both the bike and its people, who with riders have often made choices incomprehensible to most.

In these terms, even dark moments are easier to forget.

"Analyzing it well," Cecconi continued, "the results of the second part of the season were due more to the calendar configuration, which was very favorable in the beginning with more MotoGP tracks and more hostile in the second part, with more old-style tracks, than to actual mistakes. The mistakes have been few. We miss someone like Bautista. It is true that he lost a world championship. But to lose a world championship almost won, you have to almost win it."

A declaration of love between two entities who knew what to expect from each other and were ultimately disappointed more in themselves than in their partners.

HIS AND HER FRIENDS.
Battistella, Bautista 's manager and Ducati management side, were actors in a tragicomic misunderstanding in 2019. The result, which ultimately displeased everyone, we know but the reasons are perhaps more situational than will-related and due more to friction with the top management than with the men on the track. With the same parties to confront each other harshly on the Dovizioso issue, it was the Spaniard who lost out. Kind of like two friends who are supposed to intercede to get two people back together, but instead are fighting with each other for other reasons.

THE OTHER: Scott Redding
That urge not to stay, trying to be persuaded by asking for more money, more guarantees, more everything, stomping your feet and trying to be begged to stay, doesn't work with Ducati even when you win.
And it doesn't help if you've made it easy on arrival without then getting what you promised. The recent surge is as surprising as it is late. It was long over.

EXTRA STORY: Rinaldi's corner and the Petrucci option.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi, has a small corner but is dry and sure.
Never in question, he is Bologna's investment. The renewal speaks volumes and the lack of results is not attributed to the Italian.
And those looking hard for Petrucci's movement story will be disappointed.
Realistically asked, he was never in the game, neither to replace Redding nor to go in Rinaldi's place.
The Italian was waiting for KTM , and KTM somehow arrived.
The relationship with Ducati never went beyond a preliminary chat. And it's always nice to spice up and enrich stories, but some times just some things don't exist.

FINAL: to be written
Now that all the pieces are in place, how will it go between Ducati and Bautista? It will be enough to wait, and it is not important to know now whether it will work.

It was good to tell the story.

Superbike, Navarra: Race 2 to Razgatlioglu ahead of Redding. Rea still beaten!

Razgatlioglu

Razgatlioglu, Redding, Rea, Locatelli, Sykes, Lowes, Rinaldi, Van Der Mark, Bautista, Bassani to round out the ten.

Razgatlioglu
He wins, finally, by a landslide. And when he takes off his helmet, it looks like he's only done the warmup. On a day like this, it explains a lot.

Rating 5

Bassani
The other best rookie, he has a bike that is less easy and less close to the officials than the one available to his colleagues. But he is a Swiss watch, hammering out tenths of places as if it were the most natural thing in the world. From him we expect more. With patience we will be satisfied.

Assen, Race2: Rea wins the Loca game and takes the lead!

Rea Assen 2

Race 2 has only one emotion. The countdown featuring Rea in his hunt for Locatelli, positive hero of the day. That Johnny has to win, it is known, but everyone watches the Italian rookie's race greedily., hoping for someone to turn the tables even though they know it will not happen
Negative hero, on the other hand, Garret Gerloff, who pays dearly in the media for a normal race mistake by mistakenly pulling down the very colleague at the moment most beloved as Rea's only antagonist, that Razgatlioglu who sees a summit that until Saturday was his receding.
Crucified the American, who instead makes a normal mistake, however heavy, and should instead be evaluated for what he does right, every time.
Useless the rest, because Redding does not close any gap and all the others do nothing much. He saves himself, at least this time, Alvaro Bautista, who finishes a race and finishes it well., while Davies becomes aware that the podiums and victories he promised himself at the beginning of the championship are in danger of being a mirage.
With Rea the default ruler and Locatelli the revelation, we have to be content.

Race mini-report.
At the start of Race2 in the lead goes Locatelli after Gerloff touches Razgatlioglu and knocks him out.
He is followed by Rinaldi, then Lowes, Redding, Van Der Mark and Rea favanti to Sykes, Davies, Bautista and Mercado who rounds out the ten.

The race slides on the comeback of Rea who comes in behind Locatelli while behind him theAruba Ducati cancel out and allow Davies to arrive.
At minus 10 Locatelli is caught and later also passed by Redding. The Bergamasque, however, does not give up and still tries to get in on Redding.
As Sykes cancels out and Rinaldi plummets to eighth, race two at Assen ends in which Rea easily wins his third race in two days.
Rea, Redding, Locatelli, Davies, Bautista, Van Der Mark, Lowes, Rinaldi, Bassani and Haslam round out the ten.

Donington, Gara2: Razgatlioglu domina, Gerloff e Sykes sul podio. Rea si annulla, Ducati lontane!

Razgatlioglu2

Race 2 at Donington is boring from a technical standpoint but marks a turning point in the standings.
Jonathan Rea is no longer the fittest man in the circus. There is one confirmed star and his name is Razgatlioglu. Regardless of how it will end, right now the Turk is the iron man. And he doesn't even need to weigh it because it is the others who are stepping aside.
Also entering the elite is Gerloff and BMW , which, albeit momentarily and thanks to Sykes, sees some light.
Total darkness, however, for Ducati. So dark that the Bolognese should run in black livery. It's not so much the losing, which is scandalous, when the surrender effect that is in the air. There are too many races left to live it down so badly to the end. And while Rea is starting to suffer from the greed of not wanting to understand that he cannot always be first, others with the suffering have never stopped. Honda continues to gasp and the rest of the grid is virtually nonexistent. It's a world championship made up of six bikes, only a couple of which are capable of winning.

Mini Chronicle
At the start in the lead remains Rea but it is Razgatlioglu who starts as only he knows how to do, sgomitanto immediately with Sykes and Haslam, now former hosts. Redding is also incisive, in the 10 hoping he doesn't overdo it like in recent outings.
On the third lap Razgatlioglu is ready to thread Rea through. He does it comfortably and already takes a few meters.
After seven laps, it's still all the same up front while Haslam has collapsed, now a top ten risk.
On lap 12, hanging Rea goes out and restarts 20th.
With Razgatlioglu on the run and Gerloff firmly second, a duel for third place begins between Sykes and Redding that ends after two corners. The Ducati man catches up but makes a mistake and has to give up.

Razgatlioglu, Gerloff, Sykes, Redding, Van der Mark, Lowes, Davies, Rinaldi, Haslam Bautista.
It ends like this.

Misano, Gara1: Rinaldi davanti a Razgagtlioglu e Rea. Assaggiate un po’ ‘sto crescione Romagnolo!

Rinaldi Misano

Misano race 1 is boring. We don't make fun of ourselves.
Unless, as fans we enjoy the success of an Italian on an Italian bike on an "Italian" track, branded San Marino.
From this point of view it is a huge success and above all it interrupts an all-green bulimic period.
Yet Superbike still offers too many shadows. They are those of second guides that practically do not exist, BMW in black crisis, and Honda doing, at least one, but only one, what they can.
The positive notes? The Italian rookies-those are there.
But in the home race they don't count. Only we enjoy them all the same.

Micro chronicle.
At the start Rinaldi immediately insists on Rea and forces his hand.
He takes a risk but it suits him and he stays in the lead.
Behind him, precisely Rea, Redding and Razgatlioglu who does less than it seems.
The race flows smoothly. Rinaldi holds a couple of tenths of a second lead but very little happens behind him.
Rea, Razgatlioglu, Redding, Lowes, Davies, Bautista, Bassani and Locatelli rounding out the ten. The rest are really all very far away, especially the BMW, Honda and Yamaha second leaders.
With 12 to go Rea makes a mistake and loses the race while still standing. It doesn't go as well for Davies a couple of laps later, out while seventh behind Sykes.
With five to go Rinaldi is firmly in the lead ahead of the "usual" chasers while the exemplary race of Bassani and Locatelli, comfortably in the top ten, is noted.
After dominating in the qualifying sessions, superpole excluded, the Ducati Dolphin brings home the first victory in the race where most is expected of him.
Rinaldi, Razgatlioglu, Rea, Redding, Lowes, Bautista, Bassani, Sykes, Locatelli and Van Der Mark round out the ten!

Rinaldi
Taste sto crescione-it's Romagnolo.
This must have been what Rinaldi said on the occasion of his much premature as well as guessed entry on Rea at Turn 1 of Lap 1.
Yet the race was decided there. Then it was almost like filling out a form. Rea gives him a gift he may not need.

Razgatlioglu
Went on pilgrimage to Tavullia but evidently did not drink the water. Never of the match, he takes, he does, a gift from Rea.
Otherwise he would "simply" be third.

Rea
He can't even fall when he "doesn't have any." World championships are won by predestined riders. And cutting your losses when you can't do any better is the best way to bring home titles.
Rated 8

Redding
He is not the first Ducati rider in Misano. That seems obvious.
But every time for a different reason, Redding finds a way not to win the championship.
Rated 6

Lowes
There is clearly a magnet keeping him behind Rea no matter what happens to him. Lowes, however, comes next.

Bautista
Honda is as good as Haslam. Bautista puts a lot of his own into it. And today he doesn't even lay down.
Rated 7.5

Bassani
Nice round grade to a driver/team package that amazes every time. OK, we're playing at home here, but it's race is truly one to remember.
Rated 8

Sykes
Every race is a session at the psychologist for Sykes. Despite running out of tires, no one does better than him on the German.
But wasn't it supposed to be the bike to beat?
Rated 6.5

Locatelli
Also good. Better than many others from whom one would expect more. Yet there is room for growth.
Rated 7

Van der Mark
The assumptions were other. And the statements, intentions, and friendly press also had other expectations. Dry Piadina
