Misano race 1 is boring. We don't make fun of ourselves.
Unless, as fans we enjoy the success of an Italian on an Italian bike on an "Italian" track, branded San Marino.
From this point of view it is a huge success and above all it interrupts an all-green bulimic period.
Yet Superbike still offers too many shadows. They are those of second guides that practically do not exist, BMW in black crisis, and Honda doing, at least one, but only one, what they can.
The positive notes? The Italian rookies-those are there.
But in the home race they don't count. Only we enjoy them all the same.
Micro chronicle.
At the start Rinaldi immediately insists on Rea and forces his hand.
He takes a risk but it suits him and he stays in the lead.
Behind him, precisely Rea, Redding and Razgatlioglu who does less than it seems.
The race flows smoothly. Rinaldi holds a couple of tenths of a second lead but very little happens behind him.
Rea, Razgatlioglu, Redding, Lowes, Davies, Bautista, Bassani and Locatelli rounding out the ten. The rest are really all very far away, especially the BMW, Honda and Yamaha second leaders.
With 12 to go Rea makes a mistake and loses the race while still standing. It doesn't go as well for Davies a couple of laps later, out while seventh behind Sykes.
With five to go Rinaldi is firmly in the lead ahead of the "usual" chasers while the exemplary race of Bassani and Locatelli, comfortably in the top ten, is noted.
After dominating in the qualifying sessions, superpole excluded, the Ducati Dolphin brings home the first victory in the race where most is expected of him.
Rinaldi, Razgatlioglu, Rea, Redding, Lowes, Bautista, Bassani, Sykes, Locatelli and Van Der Mark round out the ten!

Rinaldi
Taste sto crescione-it's Romagnolo.
This must have been what Rinaldi said on the occasion of his much premature as well as guessed entry on Rea at Turn 1 of Lap 1.
Yet the race was decided there. Then it was almost like filling out a form. Rea gives him a gift he may not need.

Razgatlioglu
Went on pilgrimage to Tavullia but evidently did not drink the water. Never of the match, he takes, he does, a gift from Rea.
Otherwise he would "simply" be third.

Rea
He can't even fall when he "doesn't have any." World championships are won by predestined riders. And cutting your losses when you can't do any better is the best way to bring home titles.
Rated 8
Redding
He is not the first Ducati rider in Misano. That seems obvious.
But every time for a different reason, Redding finds a way not to win the championship.
Rated 6
Lowes
There is clearly a magnet keeping him behind Rea no matter what happens to him. Lowes, however, comes next.
Rated 6
Bautista
Honda is as good as Haslam. Bautista puts a lot of his own into it. And today he doesn't even lay down.
Rated 7.5
Bassani
Nice round grade to a driver/team package that amazes every time. OK, we're playing at home here, but it's race is truly one to remember.
Rated 8
Sykes
Every race is a session at the psychologist for Sykes. Despite running out of tires, no one does better than him on the German.
But wasn't it supposed to be the bike to beat?
Rated 6.5
Locatelli
Also good. Better than many others from whom one would expect more. Yet there is room for growth.
Rated 7
Van der Mark
The assumptions were other. And the statements, intentions, and friendly press also had other expectations. Dry Piadina
