Donington, Gara2: Razgatlioglu domina, Gerloff e Sykes sul podio. Rea si annulla, Ducati lontane!

Razgatlioglu2

Race 2 at Donington is boring from a technical standpoint but marks a turning point in the standings.
Jonathan Rea is no longer the fittest man in the circus. There is one confirmed star and his name is Razgatlioglu. Regardless of how it will end, right now the Turk is the iron man. And he doesn't even need to weigh it because it is the others who are stepping aside.
Also entering the elite is Gerloff and BMW , which, albeit momentarily and thanks to Sykes, sees some light.
Total darkness, however, for Ducati. So dark that the Bolognese should run in black livery. It's not so much the losing, which is scandalous, when the surrender effect that is in the air. There are too many races left to live it down so badly to the end. And while Rea is starting to suffer from the greed of not wanting to understand that he cannot always be first, others with the suffering have never stopped. Honda continues to gasp and the rest of the grid is virtually nonexistent. It's a world championship made up of six bikes, only a couple of which are capable of winning.

Mini Chronicle
At the start in the lead remains Rea but it is Razgatlioglu who starts as only he knows how to do, sgomitanto immediately with Sykes and Haslam, now former hosts. Redding is also incisive, in the 10 hoping he doesn't overdo it like in recent outings.
On the third lap Razgatlioglu is ready to thread Rea through. He does it comfortably and already takes a few meters.
After seven laps, it's still all the same up front while Haslam has collapsed, now a top ten risk.
On lap 12, hanging Rea goes out and restarts 20th.
With Razgatlioglu on the run and Gerloff firmly second, a duel for third place begins between Sykes and Redding that ends after two corners. The Ducati man catches up but makes a mistake and has to give up.

Razgatlioglu, Gerloff, Sykes, Redding, Van der Mark, Lowes, Davies, Rinaldi, Haslam Bautista.
It ends like this.

Report cards

Razgatlioglu
He is the one who has the most, strong with the renewal and the confidence everyone has in him. That in himself, however, never lacked. A champion on and off the track. At the moment, no one is like him.
Rated 10

Gerloff
He has patience and reaps the rewards. If someone would explain to him well that there is a future as a star for him, maybe he would waste less.
Or maybe not-but that's okay.
Rated 9.5

Sykes
He deserves the podium and more. He is the one who puts a patch on BMW 's shortcomings that seem to lie more in management than in the technical means. Sykes is always positive and reaps deserved rewards.
Rated 9.5

Redding
Positive race but not as a title contender. It is clear, however, that it is really Ducati that is lost here.
Rated 8

Van der Mark
He is one of those guys who can win at Donington. Yet he is not even a shadow of his teammate.
Rated 6

Lowes
You have to knock out Rea, greedy, to see Lowes first Kawasaki to the finish line.
Rated 6.5

Davies
I think it's clear by now that he doesn't have the package to win, partly because Ducati is lacking here in general.
Rated 6.5

Rinaldi
Undergoes and disappears--on the fringes of the top ten. The lights of Misano are now out.
Rated 5.5

Haslam
Strong at the start then wanes. Honda wanes and he also wanes who physically doesn't seem to be at his best.
Rating 5.5

Bautista
As above. Technical and physical suffering. Maybe Honda is really asking too much of his people.
